Summary:

• Responsible for overall branch operations and personnel to achieve the desired profit

  contribution from the branch and to assure satisfaction for customers and employees.

• Meets deposit, loan, fee income, and service quality goals for the branch by managing

  sales and service and by leading by example.

• Manages the activities of the branch office ensuring the safety of all assets,

  implementation and compliance with company policies, and the supervision of staff.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the development of business to meet sales and marketing objectives.

  Directs the office marketing efforts including direct sales, telephone sales, and direct

  mail projects.

• Insures the scheduling of personnel is adequate to cover branch needs.

• Contacts customers and business, community, and civic organizations to promote

  goodwill and generate new business.

• Actively supports branch personnel in their efforts to sell bank products and services

  to bank customers.

• Insures that all sales efforts and customer consultations are performed in a manner

  that focuses on a long term customer need satisfaction.

• Supports the bank deposit, lending, trust, and insurance and securities business

  through referrals to the appropriate department.

• Makes recommendations to marketing department of any changes and additions

  appropriate to the market area.

• Insures that all branch staff provides friendly, courteous, capable service to

  customers.

• Compiles and reports financial data as requested by management.

• Perform all CSR and Personal Banker duties and responsibilities as needed.

• Directs, coordinates, and monitors activities to implement institution's policies,

  procedures, and practices concerning granting or extending lines of credit, commercial

  loans, real estate loans, and consumer credit loans within individual approval

  guidelines.

• Assists in the collection of any delinquent accounts or return checks.

• Takes consumer loan and mortgage loan applications. Examines, evaluates, and

  processes loan applications within specified limits or with the assistance of direct

  supervisor. Approves or rejects consumer loan request up to lending authority.

• Responsible for branch security and maintenance.

• Compiles and reports financial data as requested by management.

• Resolves customer account problems

• Assumes responsibility of site coordinator in the event of a disaster

• Solicits new business and participates in community or other service programs to

  develop goodwill.

• Demonstrates personal commitment to excellence in sales and service to customers

  and other employees.

• Demonstrates customer service by managing difficult or emotional customer

  situations, responding promptly to customer needs, soliciting customer feedback for

  improvement and responding to requests for service and assistance.

• Portrays leadership by exhibiting confidence in self and others, effectively influences

  actions and opinions of others, accepts feedback from others, and gives appropriate

  recognition to others.

• Other duties may be assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises employees in the branch office. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid drivers' license.

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to handle self in a professional manner under stressful circumstances with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.

 

Mathematical Skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

 

Reasoning Ability:Must have the ability to solve practical problems and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be prepared to perform significant portions of their work in a computer based work environment. They should have experience with:

• Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

 

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

 

Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
